Summer Fun Raffle Terms & Conditions

Promoter: Murray Connect Raffle is Murray Connect LTD, a community-based organisation supporting economic development, social connection, and wellbeing across the Barham–Koondrook region.

Raffle Duration:

  • Commencement: 9 AM, Monday 8 December 2025.
  • Conclusion/Draw: 7:00 PM, Monday 6 April 2026.
  • No entries will be accepted after the closing time.

Eligibility:

  • Entry is open to individuals aged 18 years and over.
  • Proof of age may be required to claim a prize.
  • Directors and Executives of Murray Connect LTD directly are excluded from purchasing or being a ticket holder of a Murray Connect Summer Raffle Ticket.

Ticket Sales:

  • A maximum of 3,000 tickets will be available.
  • Tickets are $50 each, sold exclusively through clubBarham (online or in person as made available by the venue).
  • A ticket is not valid until payment has been received and a unique ticket number issued.
  • All tickets sold will be deposited into the barrel used for draw and number retained in ticket book with all ticket information.

Prize Details:

  • Total prize pool value: over $40,000.
  • Prizes include: Main prize: A branded boat valued at $25,000. 14 additional prizes of varying value (full list to be published on Murray Connect and clubBarham promotional material).
  • Additional prizes will be drawn at random and in non-dollar value order via random number collection.
  • Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash unless stated. Prize values are based on recommended retail value at the time of printing promotion.

Draw Details:

  • The raffle will be drawn at 7:00 PM on Monday 6 April 2026 at clubBarham, or alternative approved location if required.
  • The draw will be conducted manually via a barrel draw containing all valid ticket entries.
  • The draw will be overseen by authorised representatives of Murray Connect and clubBarham.
  • Winners will be drawn in order of prize value (major prize first, followed by remaining prizes).
  • Major raffle winners are not required to be onsite to claim prizes.
  • Supplementary Draws: Additional prizes excluded from the total prize pool of a nominal value will be drawn post the conclusion of the major draw from remaining numbers in the major prize draw barrel. Supplementary winners shall not be required to be onsite to be eligible to win a prize.

Winner Notification:

  • Winners will be announced at the event and contacted using the details provided at purchase.
  • Prize results will be published on Murray Connect and clubBarham websites and social media within 48 hours and advertised in The Koondrook Barham Bridge Newspaper the following Friday (4th of April 2026).
  • If a winner cannot be reached within a reasonable timeframe (e.g., 28 days), Murray Connect may redraw the prize in accordance with relevant raffle regulations.

Prize Collection:

  • All prizes must be collected within 60 days of the draw unless otherwise arranged.
  • Winners are responsible for any ongoing or ancillary costs associated with accepting a prize, including insurance, registration, or transport.

Use of Funds: All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to Murray Connect Ltd to support the Community Support Officer position, contributing to local community development and wellbeing initiatives.

General Conditions:

  • Subject to raffle regulations under relevant NSW and Victorian community gaming laws apply.
  • Murray Connect reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions if required for compliance or operational reasons.
  • By purchasing a ticket, entrants accept all Terms & Conditions.
